René de Bruijn

Graduated at the Utrecht University of Applied Sciences (1977). After attending Orthopaedic Medicine (1983) he became a senior lecturer in Orthopaedic Medicine. Later on he became the President of the Dutch Academy for Orthopaedic Medicine. After attending scientifical research he wrote his thesis "The influence of transverse friction in the process of connective tissue wound healing" (University of Brussels, Belgium).

He teaches Orthopaedic Medicine in different countries in Europe. In addition to numerous articles in various international journals, he published a number of textbooks in the Dutch- and English language. In 2006 he was Awarded by the Slovenian Chamber of Physiotherapists for "The contribution and development of Physiotherapy".


He is visiting professor in Orthopaedic Medicine in Ljubljana. At the Academy he  develops medical educational programs.
